My research interests evolve around three strands: (1) teacher education especially student teachers' professional identity; (2) urban school teachers' caring pedagogy within multicultural landscape; (3) narrative inquiry as method and presentation of data.
In March, 2016, I successfully defended my candidacy paper. It can be found here. In fall semester 2016, I will take the qualifying exam and defend my dissertation proposal. In spring semester 2017, I will deliver my final defense and get my PhD degree. |
FTE student teachers' professional identityThis narrative research contextualizes two student-teachers’ practicum experiences in the Free Teacher Education (FTE) Program in China. The overarching question is how the student teachers (re)construct their professional identities in the practicum. This research project is my dissertation.
